Marketing Strategy
@smartplanthome is a twitter account for the Smart Plant & Tree Care app that assists users with plant care and allows users to keep their plant library in their pocket. Over the last several months the twitter account has remained stagnant, functioning at around 5-6K impressions every 30 days. The goal was to implement a twitter strategy and grow the @smartplanthome twitter account over the last 30 days.
The strategy created was to increase the number of tweets per month by 50%, implement a comedic flow and provide more educational graphics which led to many of the top performing tweets. The new strategy also called for the use of proper hashtags across all tweets and following trends to make sure at least one “trendy” tweet is made per week. Here are the results:
The best tweet was an informative graphic performing at a 4.3% engagement rate, with 339 engagements and 7,898 impressions. Above are graphics showing that in 30 days alone the account growth has increased in every department but most importantly our impression growth has more than doubled.
